The Human Element to support check-in features

It appears that the zombie game, The Human Element, will support check-in features relatively similar to those found in FourSquare to enhance the game experience. Details after the jump.

The Human Element is an open world zombie game that will feature cross-play with mobile devices, specifically utilizing their GPS features. Players will be able to visit numerous areas in the real world to gather supplies by “checking in”. For example, a player can check in at a pharmacy in the real world, gather virtual medical supplies as a result, then transfer them to the console for use. The feature, of course, will be optional, but will give an advantage to players in tight situations in the actual game.

The Human Element is still a far ways off, with a release target being set in 2015, for next generation consoles.
