Dragon Quest X offers two hours of free play a day

Square Enix is ready to add yet another notch to its MMORPG belt with Dragon Quest X. While the game will require a subscription to play under normal circumstances, they are not about to lock out children who lack the needed funds. Details after the jump.

According to Siliconera, Square Enix understands that the Dragon Quest series is beloved by gamers of all ages, and as such, will be introducing a concept known as “Kids’ Time” to their upcoming Dragon Quest X MMORPG. From 4 PM to 6 PM on weekdays, and 1 PM to 3PM on weekends, players will be able to play DQX for free thanks to Kids’ Time. It should be noted that Square Enix will not be limiting this advantage to children – anyone can take advantage of it.

Dragon Quest X is scheduled for release in Japan for the Wii on August 2nd, 2012. A Wii U version will follow at a date that has not yet been revealed. No details surrounding European or North American releases have been provided as of yet.
