Final Fantasy XI to celebrate 10th anniversary with a concert

The Final Fantasy XI development team announced today that a concert will be held, highlighting the video game’s music. A special in-game item will be provided for players who attend.

The concert is being held to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the successful MMORPG. It is scheduled for September 22nd, 2012, and will be held in the Zellerbach Auditorium in Berkeley, California. Tickets will go on sale on June 1st at 12:00 PM, ranging from $50-$85 for normal seating, with VIP tickets selling for $150. VIP ticket holders will be invited to a meet and greet with the musicians after the show. All those who attend will receive an in-game item: the Maestro’s Baton.

The concert will feature over seventy musicians, and will be conducted by Arnie Roth. Roth is a grammy winning conductor who has worked with Nobuo Uematsu in the past. Full details on the Final Fantasy XI site can be found by clicking here.
